Coaching Clinic for Writing Scientific Articles by Prof. Dr. Wawan S. Suherman Successfully Held Online

On Friday, 14 June 2024, the Master and Dm in Physical Education at the Faculty of Sport and Health Sciences (FIKK), Yogyakarta State University (UNY) successfully held an online Coaching Clinic for Writing Scientific Articles. This activity was attended by 128 students and presented an expert speaker, Prof. Dr. Wawan S. Suherman, M.Ed.

This virtual event aims to equip students with the skills to write good scientific articles that meet international publication standards. Prof Wawan, a physical education expert, provided comprehensive guidance ranging from the preparation of the right title, the use of accurate data, to the procedure for presenting references that meet scientific criteria.octoral Study Program

Despite being held online, the enthusiasm of the participants was very high. Students actively participated in the question and answer session, digging deeper into effective article writing techniques. Prof Wawan also emphasised the importance of writing scientific articles for students' academic career development. ‘Writing scientific articles is one of our contributions in enriching academic literature and broadening the horizons of science,’ he said.

Hopefully, through this activity, S2 and S3 Physical Education students will be more motivated to write and publish articles in reputable journals, so as to improve UNY's academic image in the international arena.
